Johanna Escobar is the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Liberty Costa Rica. She is responsible for leading the company’s overall strategy and operations, with a focus on digital transformation, customer experience, network expansion, and commercial growth across the Costa Rican market.

Johanna has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. She began her career with Telefónica and held several leadership positions across Central America, including Director of Customer Experience and Business Intelligence for the region. In 2016, she became the first woman to lead a telecommunications company in Costa Rica when she was appointed General Manager of Telefónica Costa Rica.

Following the integration of Telefónica and Cabletica, Johanna led the transformation that established Liberty Costa Rica as one of the country’s leading converged telecommunications providers. Under her leadership, the company has accelerated fiber network expansion, launched converged services, and advanced the deployment of 5G technology in Costa Rica.
